Before embarking on our cruise, my sister Dawn and I stayed at this hotel in South Beach, Miami. I got up early before all the traffic and people crowded the scene!

My sister Dawn and I relax on a beach in Haiti. All that's missing is a bucket filled with Corona's. The beach was so crowded, I had to bribe nearby beach go'ers to stay out of the picture!

Before getting on the ship, my sister Dawn and I grab a cocktail in this great outdoor club. It had great diffused lighting from the semi-transparent sun shades hung overhead. It was SO HOT that my white shirt is completely soaked with sweat!

On Jamaica, Dawn and I hire a driver to take us out to the rain forest.

I fall backward into the clear waters off the coast of Cozumel.

My sister Dawn and I stop at an authentic Jamaican eatery off the beaten path. The colors and lighting caught my eye while sitting at the bar. Dawn is sporting her freshly braided hair. She tans so easily too... It's not fair.

I set up the tripod on our first stop of our cruise in Haiti. The water, the island, and our ship make for a perfect postcard shot. The water really IS that blue. And I really DID have those muscles. And I really WAS that tan. But not any more (on all accounts) :-(

On our ship, there was a parade right through the middle of a huge three story corridor located in the center of the ship. I shot these pics in super low lighting with no flash on 100 ISO film. Despite the long shutter speeds and soft images, it really captured the essence of the moment. A flash would have killed that.

Dawn and I rented a catamaran for the day in Cozumel. With the blue waters and tropical setting, it's hard not to get a postcard shot.

Off the coast of Cozumel, our small crew takes us out to sea to snorkel and just relax with food, music, and cocktails.

Dawn takes a shot of me in the waters at a beach in the Grand Cayman Islands. I was hoping to God that she wouldn't get the camera wet!

My sister Dawn and I hike up the falls in Jamaica. I didn't think she'd be this adventurous. This is shot on a simple mechanical SLR camera with no flash. I had to use a long shutter speed given the low lighting under the canopy of trees. I'm surprised it even came out this clear!

Dawn and I took separate shots of each other and I stitched them together for the fun of it. I had to fabricate sky above me and water refractions below her because the two pictures contained different amounts of sky and water. I took a sky from a different photograph and reflected it horizontally. [Hint] Look for the mirror reflected shapes in the cloud patterns. The moral of this story is: Never trust any image.

Dawn goes snorkeling. What?! Your kidding. No... Really, I'm serious.
